At LBD Basketball, we’re more than a training organization—we’re a community dedicated to shaping young athletes into confident leaders both on and off the court. Founded with a mission to empower, inspire, and elevate, LBD Basketball has become Houston’s premier destination for youth basketball development.

Led by nationally recognized player development coach Eric Love, our programs are rooted in 15+ years of experience and a passion for teaching the game. From skill-building fundamentals to high-performance training, we offer a comprehensive approach that meets every player where they are—whether they’re just starting out or competing at an advanced level. With over 5,000 athletes trained, our reputation for excellence speaks for itself.

We offer dynamic training sessions, competitive leagues, immersive camps, and AAU opportunities. At LBD, every drill, scrimmage, and lesson is designed to enhance basketball IQ, build teamwork, and develop leadership skills. With a player-to-coach ratio of 10:1, we ensure personalized attention and growth for every athlete.

Coach Eric Love is the driving force behind LBD Basketball, combining a passion for the game with a commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the court. Based in Richmond, TX, Eric is a dedicated family man who cherishes time with his wife and their three sons. Whether he’s playing basketball with his boys, exploring the outdoors, or attending church, Eric brings the same energy and focus to his family life as he does to coaching. A fitness enthusiast and lifelong learner, he balances his days with workouts, music, and moments of reflection.

Eric’s professional journey is as inspiring as it is impactful. A graduate of Walsh University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, he claimed three AMC conference titles during his collegiate career. Over the last 15+ years, Eric has trained more than 5,000 athletes through Love Basketball Development, guiding many to compete at collegiate and professional levels. As the Youth Basketball Director for the Houston Rockets from 2010 to 2020, he helped shape the next generation of players in the Houston area.
